Here's a slideshow of the Buck Vantage Pro

These pictures are from a knife that I bought from the first production run of this knife.

There are reportedly improvements made on this model that are being incorporated to the next production run.

Closed Length: 4 3/8 in.
Blade Steel: S30V stainless steel, drop point
Weight: 4.0 oz.
Handle: CNC contoured Black G10

  • I inspected both pro models today at bass pro. Figured all the flaws would have been worked out by now for a great USA company, they are not! The blade was not centered, loose and not hair sharp. The liner lock was mis ground on one of them, this CAN NOT be easily corrected, it would need the liner replaced to fix this! The dymondwood scales version looked nice, but were very slick. expect to drop this knife. BTW the kershaw skyline was perfect.

  • @chlorineskaters That's sad to hear, I hoped they would have resolved those issues by now. It's a beautiful knife, if it had quality control!

  • how does it slice

  • @UglymanUSA I don't know. I returned it soon after I got it, it had lock-up issues. It WAS very sharp though.

  • Seriously thinking of getting a pair of these to play with myself. Nice slide show bud

  • At these prices, why not :)

  • holy cow, that is so cool. Now I can appreciate both my select and pro model even more knowing they do have an ingenious stop pin design!

    thank for the info man!

  • @TheRealWolfspider - The slide show is about the Vantage Pro, not an Avid Red Large.

  • This a good knife. However they are not all the same. I own 4 of them and each one is slightly different. Buck needs to step up their quality control on this one. The only one I got that looks like it was made correctly was the Avid Red Large.

  • vantage pro all the way.........buck tops next buy!

  • I know right.
