Wicked guitar licks up and down in the song, The essence of their sound has it's own distinct rythem and flavor that very few rockers ever achieve or can duplicate...ie Van Halen, Boston and Aerosmith to name a few that fall amongst the ranks IMO,

Montrose were one of the originators. They are unbelievably underrated. Their debut album was the first American hard rock album. Yes it came out before Aerosmith's. Helped launch Sammy Hagar. Rock Candy was Pour Some Sugar On Me before that song had even existed.

i have been a montrose fan for well over 30 years, i have always thought the original line up was one of the best that has ever been in rock. originators of hard rock in america. to hear someone else do one of their songs so many years latter is kinda nice. of coarse it will never be the original but nice just the same.
