  • Putting your arm under someone's leg whilst in their guard is generally a death wish.

  • kashiwazaki knee and elbow locked to the mat the other leg. So there is no space to go for a sankaku (triangle)

  • hmm- goin under both legs is a good guard pass....

  • @OffspringFTW65 Judo hasn't beenaroumd for hundreds of years, it was founded in the late 19th century. doesn't make it any less awesome of course. Judo is my first love but BJJ has become something wonderful and all its own.

  • @MarcusDBrutus You can also pass their leg up and over your head, slamming their leg to the ground passing the guard. In this case, you've used their attempt at a triangle to open a guard pass.

  • @MarcusDBrutus Dude, Iv beent raining GRACIE jiujitsu for 2 years and until I found these videos I seriously thought Jiujitsu was know it all, but this has opened my mind and now I understand that the Judo guys, having been doing all the moves we think are "advanced" like butterfly guard, halfguard, open, spider, inverted, all that shit, It's all been done before in Judo, cuz judo has been around for hundreds and hundreds of years, Im gonna start studying it alot more now.

  • Es un ejemplo a seguir sus conocimientos, su tecnica ....ojala pudiera verte en abril aqui en galicia seria un privilegio un gran maestro

  • @Trixthor Its nice to see someone who knows what they're talking about on youtube.

  • you people are dumb! how else would you pass without risking a sankaku

  • Many commentators here mistake "instructional video" with "real fight video". When teaching a child how to read, you do not give him the "Iliad" and say: read it for your examination next week. We teach simple words that he can relate to his daily life. Eventually, he will be able to read any piece of literature.

  • it does seem that there is a risk of triangle but he keeps his arm and body well back as he scoops the leg then quickly stacks crushing any sub attempt possibilities but thats a very lazy guard a more active guard would pose more danger for that type of pass

  • @MarcusDBrutus If Kashi doesn't want Uke to move............Uke won't move !!
