@raverboi89 That's "EYES RIGHT", Raver. It displays respect to the reviewing stand (where the CG, dignitaries & guests are), while the 4th squad serves as the base of the movement. They (4th squad) don't turn their heads, so they can maintain a perfectly straight line of march. The other squads dress on the 4th squad. The Platoon Sgt (DI) and Platoon Guide at the head of the platoon will PRESENT ARMS w/NCO sword & Giudeon. They're right according to the USMC manual for close order drill, OooRah?

at what point in boot camp do Marines receive their EGA? during the graduation ceremony or right after the crucible? just curious, i'm enlisting this February
