Ravenwood Rezoning Specialist Susan Parker Looks Nervous

The highly controversial rezoning of Ravenwood HS in Brentwood TN by the Williamson County School Board was greeted by very angry parents at a meeting on November 19. Many parents felt the rezoning was being rushed/pushed through without giving parents of children affected proper notice. Several Nissan employees at the meeting were very upset about buying a home that was MUCH MORE expensive than others, for the sole reason of attending Ravenwood High School in Brentwood Tennessee. The Williamson County School Board is set to vote on the issue November 30. School board members were at a loss to explain why the public IS NOT ALLOWED to speak at that special meeting, called for the rezoning vote. Several parents said the impression they got was that the Williamson County School Board members have already made up their minds and the community meeting was just a formality. One parent questioned why she will get 5 calls in a morning when snow is possible but NO ONE EVER CALLED to inform parents of this. Most parents had just found about this meeting just days before. The Williamson County School district is known as one of the best in the country.
