@zoesy27 ok, fair enough it's ur opinion. but it's very easy to say everything sucks. so what is ur suggestion? please, give us some examples of the cartoons or shows that do not a 'offend' a single group and reflect life as it is today?

Maybe she got some of her facts wrong, but she had a point. Disney (in the present) may not be racist now, but they're sending the wrong message about life in their shows.
i'm glad i'm just able to see disney sucks! (i'm 12)

@nastik1987 I'm 12 and I think Disney was racist & sexist to begin with :p fuck the shows you mentioned

You know what... i am fucking tired of this stupid Disney=racist=sexism bullshit!
I was raised on disney cartoons! and I didn't turn out to be a timid housewife suppressed by men or a racist asshole. If you are just this kind of a sad person, you will find dirt in everything!
So i am going to make sure when i have kids, thy will grow up on Disney cartoons, and you all, who agree with this clip, raise your kids on Hannah Montana, Gossip girl and Jersey Shore!
let's see how that'll turn out!

alladin and jasmine do not look american or white! they are obviously made to look prettier than Jafar.
what annoys me the most - FUCKING GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT, if you dare accuse someone in racism!
1.Scar is voiced by a white british actor Jeremy Irons, while Mufasa and his wife are both voiced by black actors.
2. there is only one hyena voiced by a black woman (Woopie Goldberg), the other 2 are white and latin!
Seriously, you just love saying ignorant shit to insult who ever u want!

@haggismone not every villain is ugly and overweight in disney. How do you come to this? oO
let's start with the queen in snow white. she is undoubtedly a beauty. malefiz of sleeping beauty is neither overweight nor ugly. gaston from beauty and the beast is, at least his apperiance, a fine man. and in atlantis, well the woman with her blond and long hair was also a beauty. and the newest proof is mother gothel from rapunzel.
Now tell me: How do you come to your conclusions? :)

The Disney girls make toddlers feel bad about their appearance, which is what I hate most about Disney. They make them look so perfect, with flawless faces and ridiculously skinny waists, the princes are also tall and handsome. Where as the villains are ugly or overweight.
Walt Disney was in fact a Nazi sympathiser, although he did not support the party, he agreed with some of their policies and vocalised his hatred of the Jews.

Scar is played by a white dude......

Belle was well read, independent and was willing to LOOK PAST the outside to find what was underneath? A perfectly good role model if you ask me. Like many have said, the Lion King is based on Hamlet and is also pretty correct as far as real lion's prides work as well. As for the voice artists, isn't it about what they sound like not what they look like? Maybe those people happened to have the best voices to fit the characters? And isn't James Earl Jones, the voice of Mufasa, African-American?
There's undeniably unfair portrayal of women (and many other issues) in Disney, but you're not quite going about presenting it, right. You can hardly take a movie from the 50's and say, "look at how sexist this is, shame on them" when that was just the norm. It's fine for children to watch it, but it's the parents' job to explain to children the rights and wrongs, just like any other media. You can hardly blame a company for presenting the world as it was during that time.
