Perfect Dark XBLA Challenge 29 done cheaply

Here is a cheap method for taking on these 2 monsters. Around 1:00 is where it actually picks up with the cheap method.

Step 1: grab a cyclone
step 2: set it to the secondary, magazine discharge
step 3: crouch into a nice little corner and set off before they come around the corner

I show 2 spots, out of necessity. I prefer the first spot to the second spot, since it's easier to tell exactly when they are coming in and they usually can't or don't fire on you at the beginning of rounding the corner.

Also, the beginning shows exactly 1 problem: when you only have 1 cyclone, it's difficult to fend against them both. With 2, just use 1 clip per person and you should do fine.

dark sims are programmed to go for the best gun in the match first and take the shortest rought to it at insane speed where as humans dont know where the gun is and dont move as fast

@slabbs1 oh we know where the good guns are...we just don't know exactly where we are at when we spawn. They start off full speed going towards the gun while we have to take a second to realize where we are.

I wouldn't call this cheap, this is a fucking necessity. I beat it by throwing a proxy dragon on a ramp and sit in a corner with the discharge cyclone. The cheap way is the only way. IMO

Believe it or not, I won this without using any tricks... and I won with a tie 10 10 the guy killed me, but I put down a proximity dragon at the last second and the guy hit it while I was dying LOL and I was surprised that I won, total awesome XD

side strafing on xbox is a bitch. on N64 with the setting set to C buttons as Moving and the joystick as looking (FPS style in reverse) is the best fucking way to side strafe while aiming n shooting while running on stairways and ramps. with default controls u cant really do all of that all at once lol. These last 7 challenges r fucking hard. last 3 is near impossible unless u use tranq gun.

Nice rundown; another method is to use the 357 in the little trench after crossing the lowest bridge... Duck as much as u can, and climb the wall just enough to get "stuck"; it'll be slightly hard for them to shoot u and although u can obviously still get shot just aim for the head - easy kill!!! U can also plant the proxy dragon by the ramp!!! ^__^

I got a 10-1 by hiding at the dragon, and throwing proximities. xD

@Fade2Dark They basically do because the game seems to spawn them at right were a automatic gun is yet the fucking player doesnt get jack shit they have to fucking run around and find a decent gun without getting spawn killed.

I used a similar trick. The difference is after i killed them i'd go pick up their dragon and set it as a proximity mine. Doing it that way saves you from dying at all because they almost always come with another dragon and you can rinse and repeat. I'm getting floored by challenge 30 now.
