  • @KarmicOmen Oh yea, Bonham the abusive drunk . I wish the guy would have kicked Peter Grants fat ass

  • @1954telecaster i love that show but they were really sloppy those concerts

  • Bonzo forever!

  • zeppelin always seemed to play better in the US (that earl's court show sucked balls)

  • John Bonham was also a father -- he loved his kids more than life itself, so it isn't hard to image that an adult man striking an 11 year old boy across the face did not sit well at all. I guess it's the same feeling mothers would love to act on in the Susan Smith case -- give us 5 minutes alone with that bitch! Given that it was Peter's boy the man struck, he should thank his lucky stars he escaped with just the injuries sustained.

  • True -- never heard of any band in-fighting. If there was any at all, they kept it out of the public eye ... classy move. Occult involvement that was rumored by the press -- hmm, anything for a buck!

  • That said, I think that Led Zeppelin is the best hard RR band EVER, and a huge part of that is that each member is definately in that 1% of the best singer, guitarist, bass/keyboards, and drums. Other bands with ALL members having that kind of talent/musicianship? Rush, Cream, maybe The Who etc, but they didn't put out the kind of music that hit such a HUGE audience right between the eyes, the way that Zep did. I know that you could mention The Beatles, but that was really a dif time/place.

  • In a way Zep's main time was only 1969-1973, when the toured constantly, and put out 5 albums. I know they toured in 75 & 77 & started the 79' tour in Europe, but you had the car crash in 75, Karac Plants death in 77, followed by Bonham's in 80, cutting each of the tours short. That is some bad luck! Having watched plenty of footage from all 3 of the ladder tours, it also seemed like they were a bit more "off" in general compared to 73' and b4, although none of that shows on the albums.

  • Yeah . I respect Steven Tyler alot , but his naaration is flat and w/o feeling . They and he could have done better . It sounds like he is reading this for the first time

  • Those cheap Rock mags were still talking this Black Magic curse nonsense in the early 80's . So childish ! Jimmy Page today wants it clear he was an average working Lad made good ,Not some Wizard dressed from Dungeons an Dragons like he used to be portrayed to the Fan Base in the States . Jimmy's the man !
