@Aegius Private roads would be ethier toll roads or shitty roads, I prefer just to pay some taxes. Also private schools would be bad becuase how do you expect impoveished people to shell out money they dont have to send thier kids to school, also differnt school means some like in the south will teach crationism and leave a portion of our kids stupid on the was of sience, also mom and pop stores maybe will surivie in a trust enviroment, but any cometion to the trust will be crushed.

@615Deathdealer I agree...I find it funny that the one's demonizing the unions are the ones that have been hit up by unions for trying to pay Shit wages with no benefits and get away with it...Trust me, I am one of those workers...I work in a power plant 100 feet in the air in a 110 degree boiler with a 120PSI hose...and I have no health insurance and I only make 10 an hour...I WISH they would unionize against duke energy and Bechtel..I would join in a heartbeat

Quit paying farmers to produce less goods so the prices stay high...let's make coporations like GE pay some damn taxes instead of MAKING money off of nothing...let's bring our brothers and sisters home and stop putting money in George Bush's pockets through private defense contracts...(the whole point of the war other than oil). and lets abolish the federal reserve. You know that the bailout $'s could have put 17,000 in every single american's pocket? that doesnt piss you off? lol

@Aegius Also child labor has been used, but that dosent mean it should, I think in a modern scoiety kids should be in school hoping to become great one day, not in a factory or field working. Busniess dosent care, what about minium wage, that government madated too, So let the kids work and hey lets pay them 20 cents and hour.

@615Deathdealer We already have tort law on the books regarding lead in toys, making food safe, etc. The FDA has proven incompetent and ADMITTED as such. Child labor in fact died in the agriculture areas BEFORE gov involvement & was dying elsewhere. BTW, there always has been child labor BEFORE the rise of capitalism. Roads can be privatized & so can schools(private do a better job. I favor vouchers.). Trusts don't necessarily destroy competition as smaller businesses have taken part of markets.
-
@Aegius Also trusts destroy competition, why compet and make less money when you can join and make more. And if some dude trys to get in on the market we will just lower prices and rasie then when he goes broke. This has happened before. And about Sniclar being a socalist so what it dosen't make what he wrote not true. Do you like public schools, roads? Do you like child labor laws and the police. If you answered yes to any of thses questions then you too are a socialist.

@Aegius No you need govenemt regulations, like no lead in toys and makeing sure our food is safe to eat. And dont say the buyers will weed out the bad compaines. The food makers just wont show or tell them where there food comes from. You know the the little sticker thing on the back that shows the ingeidents? That come from a law from the government and the food compianes fought it the whole way. The government has made some great laws for the middle class like how about no child labor?

@615Deathdealer As for competition in fact when the anti-trust case began Standard Oil's control of the market was at 90%. As the case progressed, its control went to 65%. What happened? Answer: Competitors drilled for oil and took up much of the market. If gov gets out of the way and allows for smaller businesses via minimizing regulations & allowing for loser-pays under tort, then monopolies will be prevented. Also allow for free trade & that will mean more competition.
-
@615Deathdealer Actually there were inspectors from every level of gov. Reform already was there & it was unnecessary. When more regulations were put in place, it put the smaller businesses OUT of business as costs were too much. Unions just want better conditions? Not true. They want too much pay, too many benefits & often certain people literally paid to do nothing. Unions may have been helptful, but today they just keep costs too high & are abusers as they leach from the public dole.
-
@Aegius No the meat packing industry and every other industry fought TR every step of the way in any reform. He busted the trusts and thats what created competition. Also im not saying it was only the unions that help build the middle class but they where an important part of the change, I just dislike it when people deamonize unions, all they want is better working conditions of the workers. The rich provide the jobs yes but the unions and the gov make sure those jobs safe and can support you.
OMG, I was just watching footage from today and saw this same guy. Not 'undercover' this year. Guess he figured out how lame he was.

@Nachum
Let's stick to more substantive critique of the group. For example, stupid enough to believe that the tax increases would be limited to 3% increase on the top 5%of wage earners. Obama said it, it must be true...
