  • I graduated from QC so I'm pretty well informed. Also graduated from A&M Commerce so thanks.

  • Well, if we want to talk about good bands, look this up: Region 3 UIL.mov

  • @craM1806 Hmmmm...funny cuz i go to college with ppl from that band saying they had 130+ in the band...Hmmm. Something doesn't add up here. And if it helps, A&M Commerce's band fucking slaps them all anyway :)

  • November 7th...

  • Even if Queen City had a horrible performance they would still get all ones just because they're already a well known school....i personally didn't like their show this year but that's just me.

  • There are approximately 100 kids in that band which is pretty phenomenal considering the school has an enrollment of under 400.I don't see how having an extremely successful band program with the resources of a 2A school is something to be scoffed. Also, BOA and UIL have COMPLETELY different philosophies when it comes to judging. If you need proof of that check out the differences between L.D. Bell's marching show on a UIL year as compared to a BOA year. Completely different.

  • @2011Sandman O yea and we also beat 3a, 4a, and even 5a sized schools. So I would say that's pretty good for a 2AA.

  • @2011Sandman Actually there were only about 90 somethin people, and our school is a 2AA school. Almost 1/3 of the high school is in band. We don't go to BOA because we practiced so much and put a LOT of time and effort into this show that if we were to go to BOA then we would have no time to be a high schooler. Plus state is relevent to Texas bands because of UIL. Other states don't have UIL. Therefore BOA is their big competition. Just sayin.

  • Good job queen city on another great performance, and for the idiots who think the band determines the class the schools in is stupid..The total enrollment determines if a school is 1A-5A in Texas, i would know, the High School I'm teaching at in 2010 is moving from 3A to 4A because they are getting 300 more students, making them 92 over the 3A limit
