COP15: 12.14.09 Peoples Defense of Police Raid on Christiania Neighborhood

After a long day of demonstrations against the Canadian Tar Sands, and the issues of climate change and migration activists have been tear-gassed and arrested by police while attending an evening party. The police appear to be trying to wear down street-level opposition through constant offensive action against activists.
This Video Shows fire barricades set up by people in the neighborhood to stop advancing Riot Police.

I was there, am an anarchist and have been an activist for a long time. I know that police are generally assholes - but this one was a clear provocation from the black bloc. I got hit by cops cus the black bloc thought it would be nice to provoke the cops into raiding Christiania.

The party was awesome, the bloc started the riot, the riot sucked.

@alsons M-i was there personally: even before 365 days. we provided a medical care for traumatized and injured people, and 'd a family with a 11month old baby at our surgery too. pigs didn't cared, broke in through the closed door(didn'T gave a f.ck about the international low, our surgery was under protection of the red cross...) at the first anniversary a loud ACAB!!!!!!

what's the point of this shit? You just gave the police a (bad, but none the less) reason to justify their violent behavior and their arrests of thousands of innocent people with your childish fires... AND you gave the media a reason to continue with their stereotypes of protesters and activists as violent.

It's all good in the hood MM, apology accepted and returned. I've found that, at least in this format, if you turn the other cheek, that one get's slapped too. I'm not really against cops, but their lockstep mentality in this "must cripple and humiliate people to keep Master happy" bullshit is all fostered in fascism. Unfortunately, we now have more fascists in politics in the U.S. than Germany did, and they lie about people the same way GenosseReinholz did to me, or Ben Stein did to Ron Paul.

This discussion is mainly about the activists in Denmark, as those seen in this video. They make streets in Copenhagen a living hell. All of Denmark hates them. They are truly the asshole of Denmark.

As MexicanMuffin says, the police gets blamed no matter what they do. It's almost as if some people expect them to just accept the bricks being thrown at them and not do anything about it.

Oh, and please learn the difference between demonstrating and throwing bricks at the police.
