  • thanx kevy this is something ive been having trouble with because of how i play the shot and end up miss-cueing a few times when absoluely tight on the cusion. anyway i was wondering what about when u have the cueball about 2 - 3 inches from the cusion and u want to play the cueball with bottom? beacuse i have found that i can not get my head low enough as i need to dig my cue down into the ball

  • @jcjackstar Hello there, sorry for the late reply due to holls, but in answer to the question.

try stepping in closer to the table & lowering your grip further towards the tip end of the cue, it is never easy to play with bottom from a cushion, but this is perhaps one of the wider used methods used to do it.

I have other cushion videos to watch which show this technique in greater detail, just check through & watch them. If you need any more help just ask, or I could just make a new video..K

  • It would be a good insight for beginners...

  • I bridge pretty much the same as you do - with my fingertips on the very edge of the table.

Wrapping my thumb under the cue is something that would never have occurred to me - I'll have to give it a go.

    Thanks!
