In the smoke of war many people act stupidly. Get over it. Now we have three people acting stupidly. The President should have kept his mouth shut.

@Parley454 Well that is true. We DO live an a sexist society. But we live in a racist society as well.

@lakendrawriter you might want to check out some crime statistics. Men get prosecuted more because society is ok with that, when women commit the same or similiar crimes and they usually get off. I have had friends who were assaulted by their girlfriends and they just didn't want to deal with all the paper work. Society celebrates women who are violent to men, but not ones who are violent to other women. Male children are more likely to be killed by their mother, the list goes on and on.

@USArgos What do you mean by the history between men and women? What have women done to men?

Roland S. Martin... Obama's retarded little Troll. The man in completely clueless, and has never successfully argued a single (around 50+) debate that I have witnessed.
I'm guessing CNN has him on staff as their racially motivated, conversational piece... kind of like the little monkey attached to an organ grinder.

U hate that racist fat fuck Roland

Rich Sanchez and Roland Martin....Two of the dumbest, racist assholes on T.V... No wonder CNN has the horrible ratings...

RIGHT ON
Its just a misunderstanding. I can understand if the police needed to ask Gates questions about the robbery, whether they felt he was a suspect, victim or not. But looking back on American racial history and more specifically black men and policemen, you cannot blame Gates for reacting the way that he did. As a reminder, Gates probably did not know that he was not a suspect. Though Gates probably should have cooperated with the police, it is understandable why he would react the way he had.

@lakendrawriter It's understandable why men react against women the way they do, given the history of men and women, also. Because there's a history between 2 particular groups means that every reaction is understandable, right?
If you think long enough about what you said, perhaps you'll understand how shallow is your observation. Otherwise, it's lost on yet another brainwashed dupe of political correctness and public school education.
