Umbrella Styles (1950s). An interesting look at some of the umbrella fashions of the 1950s. British umbrella makers stage their designs in the first ever umbrella fashion show at Grosvenor House, London in 1956.

  • I carry an umbrella around to protect from sun damage. I prefer calling it a parasol :)

  • @BubbleFizz significantly lesser intelligence? I'm not the idiot who carries around a useless umbrella because it looks pretty. I am practical, and these? these are not practical in the slightest

  • 'Useful too for keeping flies away in Summer' Narrator is quite CLEARLY taking the piss here..

  • @katikar1 Again, you fail to grasp the concept of fashion and further prove yourself to be a being of significantly lesser intelligence. Stop now before you embarrass yourself further.

  • @BubbleFizz no sense carrying around an umbrella all day just to look nice. thats fucking stupid.

  • @katikar1 Once again you fail to grasp the basic concept of fashion. Umbrellas are not only for keeping someone dry but they are also used to shade from the sun (otherwise known as a parasol) or are used simply as a fashion accessory. Go educate yourself before you go prattling on about something which you know nothing about.

  • @BubbleFizz most of these umbrellas would fail to do the only job an umbrella has: to keep you dry while it rains. these umbrellas are useless and more an inconvenience than anything else.

  • @katikar1 You obviously have no sense of style. Go crawl back to your cave where your closed mind can be content with staring at rocks and never seeing anything new.

  • @BubbleFizz because it's shit, the only good one is the red and white one, and that sort of thing is still around, and for good reason
