RECAP: Jack's friends cornered Joe thinking that he was Nick..

(Brittney's POV)
"Casey, relax, he probably fell asleep at your house or something. He's fine." I tried to reassure the very frantic Casey, who just walked in from when Kevin picked her and Samantha up from the academy. Joe never showed up at the end of the day to pick them up.
"Yeah, you're right. He's--He's fine." Casey stammered, sitting on the couch next to Morgan and Allie. Taylor and Nick were trying to get a hold of Joe, but he isn't answering his phone either. Jack stood by the window, not making a sound. He didn't seem too concerned about Joe's whereabouts.
"Where Daddy?" Samantha asked, scrambling onto her Mom's lap. Casey stroked her hair back, kissing Samantha's head.
"He'll be here soon." Casey murmured. We all knew that Casey is worried that Joe had ran into Blake.
"It's alright, Cay." Kevin said to her quietly. Casey nodded looking into his eyes. It looked as if they were having a silent conversation with each other through eye contact. They do that a lot. It's not my favorite thing to watch.
The doorbell rang a little while later, Jack's friends pouring into my house.
"Hello!" One of them called loudly. Jack stormed up to them, whispering to them in French. We looked to Morgan for a translation to what they were saying, but she had no idea. Their faces went pale, eyeing Nick.
"What's going on?" Taylor mouthed to Nick, who shrugged in response.
"Jack, is everything okay?" Morgan called softly. He turned, smiling nervously at us.
"Yes, everything is fine." He said, his voice shaking a bit. Holly turned and babbled incoherently to Carter. He babbled back, as if both of them were carefully judging Jack.
Casey stood, setting Samantha on the couch. Her amber eyes darted to the direction of Jack and his friends.
"Jack, where is my husband." She demanded. Kevin and Nick stood too, their eyes filling with rage.
"Casey--" Morgan started to try and save Jack, but before she could finish, the front door creaked open, and Joe stumbled in. By looking at him, you'd think he was tied to the back of a car and pulled around the highway all day. He truly looked right out of a scary movie.
Immediately, Allie took Samantha out of the room, going to distract her. She didn't need to see her Dad like this. Jack's friends flew out of the house like mad men once they saw Kevin and Nick try to lunge at them, but Taylor pulled them back just in time. Casey darted to Joe's side, catching him before he crumbled to the floor.
"I'll kill you!" Nick screamed at Jack, ready to kick some French kid ass, but I ran in between them.
"Stop it! This isn't helping anything!" I yelled, looking to Morgan for help. She had her head bowed into her hands, frozen. She must be embarrassed. She should be embarrassed for trying to take Jack's side earlier.
Taylor pulled Nick back, and Kevin guided me away from the arguing.
"Baby, talk to me, what hurts?" Casey begged Joe, cupping his face between her hands. He leaned his head against her shoulder.
"Please...Let me...Lay down" He groaned. Casey and Kevin led him to the couch, and he curled up underneath a blanket I had laying out. He groaned at the pressure against his side.
"Relax, Kevin his getting you some aspirin." Taylor assured him. I approached the huddle around Joe after putting the twins in their play pen.
"Why did his stupid friends even do this?" I asked. Joe looked up at Nick.
"Jack told them to go after you...but they mixed us up. I let them...they would've hurt you.." Joe stammered. Nick cringed.
"You didn't have to do that." He whispered.
"Hey, no one touches my little brother. They have to go through me first." Joe responded. Casey whipped around to face Jack.
"I don't want you near my family anymore!" She warned. Jack stood against the wall, twirling an unlit cigarette between his fingers.
"Fine." He muttered. Casey looked to Morgan next, who looked completely humiliated.
"You sure do know how to pick them, don't you?" She snapped. Morgan cringed, sinking lower in her seat.
"It isn't her fault." Nick spoke up. He was now sitting next to Joe, propped up against the arm of the couch.
"I'll see you guys later." Morgan stood, breezing out of the house. Jack followed her, their arguing disappearing as they walked down the driveway.
"You didn't have to blame her, you know." Taylor said to Casey.
"I know, I know. I'm just...overwhelmed right now." Casey leaned against the wall, sighing.
"We'll watch Sam for you guys." Allie said to Joe and Casey. The boys helped Joe up, the night only beginning.
