I love his stride, reminds me of turf horses though, which only worries me slightly for the derby. I still reckon he's the winner though =D I always wonder, why do the horses look so fast at the sales?

The Pamplemousse...what might have been...

Gorgeous horse and very fast, but that high leg action yall think is so cool, is probably what caused his career ending injury. He is expending more energy with that stride then a racehorse who travels closer to the ground would. If you watch it from the front, and I have, You can see his hooves actually come up level with his chest. Fast but peculiar. I am excited about his stud career, hope he can pass that speed on.

I'm so excited- he's entering into stud this year. What a beautiful horse!

@PlioCameBack They have a really hard surface... which I hate because the horses are sprinting along it and they're YOUNG, and they could suffer hoof injuries from it.

I get really picky about racehorse legs, aka stride length and their knees. This horse has my whole package deal! Long legs, long stride, great knees. If this horse had the chance to go in the SA then the Derby, he would have been unstoppable. I wish we can see more of him.

It's a tough business and when it comes to breezing these horses at a young age, they will generally have problems through out their career. Just take ex-rays on most of them in which a vast majority aren't ossified!

I think this horse would have a good future as a 4-year-old if he was allowed to race.
Are you sure that wasnt a cheeta in a horse suit?
