@laminage: Larry Hagman has since admitted he was joking.

@FamilyGuy770 probably was a drug dealer or something of that sort. maybe meth lab since the house burned down mysteriously.

after all the years of waching this show i had no idea that there was a alternate title sequence for the first episodes. reminds me of how the last couple of seasons looked though.

Interesting as of course this is very much like the credits for the last two series.

wow very cool i didnt know this was suppose to be tyhe original opening for dallas

Still gotta love the spit screen version. Also the SouthFork we all love and not that first season version. Ick.
Dallas rocks...at least Soapnet airs it, unlike a western channel that only plays stupid reality shows. Hulk Hogan...hmmm, JR should be in their places.
Great post, I have never seen this before. Thank you!!!!!

They weren't really sure that they were going to keep her and Larry Hagman said that as far as he was concerned, her acting was terrible. She improved thank god. Also, did you know that Tina Louise was actually considered for the role of Sue Ellen and not Linda Gray, and that Linda Evans was considered for the Role of Pam.
What ever happened to the first house that was shown on the mini series? I watched Dallas since its inception and always wondered why there was a change in houses.

Well, the guy that owned the original Southfork didn't want the production teams poking around the property anymore, forcing Lorimar to go elsewhere to find a new ranch. Unfortunately, not too long ago the original Southfork burned to the ground and little remains of the house. The owner of it now, has said that he plans to rebuild, but I doubt it.

Were there mini-series?

The show started out as a mini series, the ratings were high so they decided to turn it into a weekly show.

Thanks for the explenation.
Is saw - not that long ago - the beginning when Ray wasn't an Ewing ... yet and he had a fling with Lucy.

And when Ray was evil. The show has a certain element when he was bad.
