I understand where you're coming from however take a look at my videos, I can get my standard Accord R to hit 60 in UNDER 6 seconds... not bad considering. We know there's more to a car then it's 0-60 figure anyhow. :)
I suppose it's down to personal taste but I think that FWD cars have their traction comprimised. How many FWD cars can hit 60 in less than 6 seconds? If you're going to go down te out-right handling route you'd be better off with an Elise or such like.
Some of the most advanced suspension, factory fit LSD and a braced and stiffened (40% over stock) chassis make it one of the best FF handling cars around. 210-220hp at 7,500rpm make it rather fun and quick also.
To be fair you'd have to find a lot of straight pieces of road for a Lotus Carlton to out run an Accord R, the Carlton is just far to heavy and clumsy.
