UConn Head Coach Jim Calhoun visits the NYSE to celebrate UConn's NCAA championship win. On Monday, April 4, the UConn Huskies defeated the Butler Bulldogs 53-41, marking UConn's third national title since 1999. In honor of the occasion, UConn Huskies Head Coach Jim Calhoun rang The Opening BellSM.
About UConn Huskies
The 2010-11 University of Connecticut men's basketball team, led by Hall of Fame Head Coach Jim Calhoun, captured the 2011 NCAA Championship, the third NCAA title in program history. Coach Calhoun became only the fifth coach in the history of NCAA Division I College Basketball to win three National Championships and also led the Huskies to the 2011 BIG EAST Tournament Championship in early March, winning an unprecedented five games in five days en route to the title.
