  • what if the culture of Japan was the influence to jewish culture.

  • @bigoxtailbone2 Great point! It could have been! Perhaps there was an equal exchange. Thanks for your comment!

  • Rosh Chodesh is a monthly holiday, not just once a year

  • @bariguy87 Thanks for your comment! From what I understand Rosh Chodesh is the celebration of the new moon. In ancient times the most important New Moon of the year was the first rising after the high holidays. This took place in October. It was at this time that they lit signal fires. The festival at Kurama used to also be celebrated on this day, when Japan still followed a lunar calendar.

  • What do Jews and Israeli Jews think of Far east oriental people?

  • @WorldTurtleMedia

Rosh Hodesh is celebrated in the begining of every lunar jewish month.

Never heard about the annual celebration.

  • If the truth will ever come out, one will realize, that people of Ancient Israel influenced cultures in 4 corners of the Earth.

  • @WorldTurtleMedia Rosh Chodesh is the first day of the hebrew month. the first Rosh Chodesh is the hebrew new year eve which is around October -but we call it rosh hashanah. In old time they used to annunce Rosh Chodesh by lighting up fires from mount to mount in Israel till Babel so all the jews knew exactly when the its time. Rosh Chodesh is a minor holiday and at that day, we pray G-d to have a happy good month without troubles or sorrows .....

  • My friend from Canada is Jewish, I should fly him up here. He would love it because he loves Japanese culture and Japan is always a country he wanted to see.
