KO Video "Downtown Bellingham" From This is the KO Album

Video for the song "Downtown Bellingham" by KO, off of "This is the KO Album" (CC Records, 2004)

This video was created from shots of KO walking around Bellingham in early 2005 (though the video shows 2004). The clips were edited together to create a 'video collage' put to KO's song "Downtown Bellingham". The video remained unfinished in VHS format until March 2007 when digital editing equipment was purchased, thus resulting in the finished product you see here.

The video is an attempt at reflecting KO's dualistic relationship with the city (love v. angst) In the end KO sees himself in his surroundings, he reflects the city and the city symbolizes him. Like the shopping cart in the bay, KO sees himself as a discarded byproduct of the civilization he is connected to.

The song Downtown Bellingham is totally improvisational, as are all of KO's songs. It was conceived, written and recorded all at the same time and is off of KO's first release "This is the KO Album". You can hear and see more of KO at:
