REAL-TIME VISUALIZATION AND SIMULATION IN SURGICAL PLANNING
This animation is intended to show how different real-time computer graphic techniques have emerged as important tools to aid in the diagnostic and surgical planning processes in patients with congenital heart disease.
MRI-data sets can be used to reconstruct patient-specific three-dimensional models of the heart.
The video shows the heart of a ten-year-old girl who has previously undergone major surgery.
