@sikestonjumpinjacks I'm not sure I understand the question. But there are no inputs on the camera unless you can find something that fits to the accessory shoe.
Indeed. The highest bit rate setting is awesome for action. But for web use, it can't be used. No one has a 17Mbps pipe. And even if they did, YouTube could not afford to take advantage of it.
Another problem is that this is a consumer camera. Everything is encoded in 1080i. Technically, that is inferior to 720p on smaller displays. 1080p would be awesome. 1080p @ 60fps would be totally awesome. With AVCHD running @ 50+ Mbps, that would work.
Truly professional video would look quite good @ 1080p60. The camera is not in that league. Neither is my editing software.
It should be able to kick the butt of VGA 30fps (640x480). That will require some extra measures though. I have to attenuate the vibration or it just won't matter.
Yeah. The difference is only viewable on a large screen from the original video. On the plus side, this means I can go ahead and get the extra recording time SP mode gives me.
can i record old movies on this cam and on the sd card so i can transfer to my computer?

I notice the difference even online when the camera is still. For action shots it will not make a difference online.

Like I said, I upload at 7Mbps.

Hey F, there's no perceptable difference between vid settings :-(
But the quality does seem better than b4 & it's in widescreen so that's always good :-)
