Nice to know that's what you make of it because the quality you describe is an admirable one. Still... I'm pretty sure 'nerd' is an insult and implies a lack of focus on social skill and a higher focus on tech and know-how. What you described is called 'confidence' and for nerds on the whole, this is very much more a dream than a reality. Please forgive my pedanticism but being a nerd, I value correctness above all else. :P
