Poor Barbara. I hated the bastard who was ripping her off in the end. He will rot in hell for that.

When I heard about Farrah Fawcett's death yesterday, I immediately thought about this film. She was magnificent as Barbara Hutton. I wish I could find this film somewhere, the UK version without the deleted scenes.
Godspeed, Farrah!

Jonathan Brandis around 2:43!!!!! And he committed suicide at age 27! =(

I have a question: One of her lovers was impersonated by Tony Peck. Does he happen to be the son of Gregory Peck? His facial contures and mouth look alike.

I love it.." Your in Paris now."

I remember when my brother brought this DVD to Colombia from U.S. as a gift. It was all in its native language, English, and I remember asking him desperate what certain parts of the plot she was saying; however, I could feel the intense dramatic sweet glamorous scenes that she left impregnated through all her scenes accompanied with that kind of sad soundtrack sound. Now that I came to U.S. and learned some English could got the entire plot and it is Simply marvelous!

I'm glad Barbara had her wonderful cousin, Jimmy and Cary Grant. At least she had some decent people around her.
Farrah was a really good actress.

Personally, I love the scence where she and Cary Grant are called "Cash& Gary," then the presses star rolling in the moive. The full brim hat is really kewl too.

I love the part were she says "I lived a hell of a life" kinda prophetic for farrah IMO.
The jewelry was all real and most were the original pieces she owned. Farah spoke about it on the tonight show with Johnny Carson.

When I was a kid, this was my FAVORITE miniseries. I recorded it and watched it all the time. Farrah and her cigarettes holders were too much.
It's now on dvd but I think they cut some stuff out. I wish I could find those old vhs tapes I recorded from tv back in the 1980s.
