The opening scene of Izo and my personal favorite. I like it so much because although Izo is a cold blooded killer, he is pretty insightful.

  • Miike's best film, one of the few R1 releases that I don't own, has to be The Bird People in China. I found a copy in a town three hours from where I live and wanted to buy it sooo bad. 13 Assassins was slick, as well.

  • @SithianHawk I flipped when I saw Asano in Thor. My favorite film of his has to be Last Life in the Universe.

  • Someone should count kills in this movie, and compare to Remvo IV, it will be pretty equal ;)

  • @Brainiaccccc

I believe Gojoe: Spirit War Chronicle maintains a higher kill count than both films.

  • @Brainiaccccc

According to IMDB's Gojoe trivia page:

-Total on-screen body count is 300+, making this the most violent Japanese movie to date.

  • @Janpei I enjoyed that one. Asano is my main man.

  • @Brainiaccccc the kills would be equal to world war 2
