This free video guitar lesson demonstrates one of Steve Vai's favorite arpeggio techniques. The proper use of this technique can create a dazzling array of notes with little effort.

Steve Vai uses these arpeggio patterns through many of his solos and live improvisations. By simply learning one pattern and moving one or two notes around here or there you can create an endless amount of Steve Vai style tapped arpeggios to incorporate into your own solo.

Be sure to download the accompanying TAB PDF at http://www.guitarlessons365.com/steve-vai-style-tapped-7th-arpeggios-guitar-l...

Also, make sure you follow the instructions in the video on how to mute all the unwanted strings so you can keep it sounding clean.

Have fun with this cool Steve Vai technique!!

  • hey carl.

you have an amazing tapping technique ! is there any chance you could do a lesson on steve vai - now we run (solo) ?

    thanks, jim.

  • Do you have a "Lotus Feet" Guitar lesson? Or can you do one? maybe on the website under premium? thanks

  • do you always use new guitar for new video? they always look shiny.

  • I can tap the higher string...but the string above, when I hammer-on and pull-off, i can't mute the note after I play it...

like in the first arppegio, in A...I can tap the high E string, but when I change to the B string, the other 2 notes don't sound clear, and when I go back to the high E, the open B string keeps ringing )=
