  • Give most people a DD Z 18 and a 2kw amp and they wont do a 150, especially in a full sized suv with leaky sunroof and box tuned in the low 30Hz range.

There are so many subs on the market because not every sub is best for every application. A sub that can handle 30,000 watts for a few seconds in a perfectly controlled and tested scenario at a single really high frequency will probably not be the best for a lower powered, low tuned vehicle meant to play music.

  • Nice!! Whats the specs on the sub box?

  • about 20ft net tuned to 36hz for the time being.

  • where can i get one??

  • trailor hitch flex??...

  • @brettmm27 yea, but DID you know that 100 000w > 20 000w ????

  • I agree the sub is impressive , i am not taking nothing away from the DDsub but to say that it is better then any other sub in its category its a pretty bold statement, and one that needs to be challenged and put to the test hopefully by someone with the means to do so ,... in any case i just wanted to show a different point of view of things that way people don't go out and get this sub and expect a 180+ right out of the box you know lmao, some people are very gullible and naive lol

  • @091ramon his doors were full of concrete so it would be less flex. less flex= higher DBs. yes everything you told me I already knew. thats why at comps you always see everybody pushing on the doors and sitting on the roof and stuff. and still all of this does not take away that the sub is a beast and it still took 26,000 watts. the sub is still impressive.

  • now set up the same scenario on a fi btl 18 and lets see how it holds up on that db scale ,then let the truth be told on which sub is better per say

  • Respond to this video... Some of the factors on why he hit that 180 is as follows: 1) his volvo was full of concrete,i will let you answer why he did that lol, 2) he was working off of a 16volt system which = more power 3) that one subwoofer was seeing 26,000 watts from 7 amplifiers, on that one sub , you factor all that power going into one sub on a very short burp and yes i would say that one 18 can hit 180+ but ask me if that sub survived to burp again and i would have to say no

  • @countrysk8er14 You are misunderstanding my words , i am not saying DD is a bad sub either at all but let's factor in why alan dante hit that 180+ , and steve meade has no influence on why fi is a good sub not the best either ,lets get that clear , I am all about specs, tests, and facts the hell with all the marketing ploys used by companies to get you to buy there product , that includes steve meade's youtube fans and alan dante's miracle 180+ world record ,.. but back to alan dante for a sec ...

  • @091ramon burp or not it still is the world record. I know a Fi BTL cant hit a 180.....and I am not saying Fi is a bad sub. I am just tired of everybody saying DD sucks simply because it is not a well known brand. The only reason everybody thinks Fi is this godly brand is because Steve Meade had them......thats it. They are good subs but they are not the best.
