@neilgerald77 Every SIM card you buy nowadays already have EDGE service. You either pay per use or your monthly plan includes it. I did not use a data plan but i can use the phone's mobile internet by EDGE whenever i want to. I just have to pay extra.

@neilgerald77 Yes it does if you buy the unlocked version. There are a lot of unlocked Samsung galaxy i7500 phones on ebay for around $250-300. One thing is that it does NOT support ATT's 3g bands, but it does support 2g like EDGE and GSM. i would ask ATT just to be sure though.
