@rednecktrucker1969 And come to think of it, you didn't answer my question, what is wrong with believing in a higher deity? You basically said the mind wants to build upon this concept. But if someone doesn't? If people's delusions or misconceptions of what God's rules are is what causes biggotry and insanity, then fight against that. I give you props for labelling your series A vs C, but I could do a "theist vs Christian" (or deist or agnostic) and kick their asses too.

@rednecktrucker1969 If you say so. It sounds like you believe in a God with personalized attributes too. "he ultimately is that ...made-up" Not only he is, but he is made-up too. jk. You seem to repeat (nq)"he is made up" a lot. This seems to be central to your non-beliefs, is it not? You know, those statements are positive, so the burden of proof would be on you. You are saying more than "I don't believe you". You are saying, "there isn't because you/they made him up". That should be provable.

@fizzingwhizbeee Once you believe in a god, the mind makes it be something more. Now the god has rules that you need to live by, he has sex (he) he has an appearance, he has judgement, power, grace, vengence, and well anything else you want to make up...because he ultimately is that as well (made-up).

@rednecktrucker1969 "parents...genetic code...evolved" You understand. Bless you, Good Sir! You said it better than I could have. You still didn't exactly explain why you are atheist. We have out-grown the need for a God? I can identify; I would be a very different person had I not had been raised believing in something divine. The bible taught me a lot about "truth" and humans. I have also outgrown that "dependence". But I cannot declare myself atheist.

@rednecktrucker1969 "anyone...inquisition...anti-a
bortion folks...creationists" Being anti-abortion has nothing to do with religion. Also, you misunderstand. I'm not talking about the beliefs (based) on the belief in a magic man "there is a magic man AND he told me to kill you" or "there is a magic man AND he made the world in six earth days". Consider for a moment the repercussions of believing there is a God but nothing more. -
@fizzingwhizbeee "It appears we were given instructions on how to behave." Most of us just call them parents. :) Also we have it in our genetic code, it evolved over hundreds of thousands of years, same thing with a need for religion, it started as a way to explain things and form groups, as a social mechanism. We have out grown the need for it now though and in order to release our potential we need to progress, not regress, that is why I am an Atheist.
That dude is a lard-filled atheist pretending to be a Christian.

@stallion4life ooooooooh a personal attack from a christian....thats never been done before, guess this one never heard of -turn the other cheek- or -love thy neighbor- or like most religious nut jobs they just pick and choose to suit their needs at the time.
Science flies us to the moon, religion flies us in to buildings.
P.S. I was a christian for many years, then I slowly learned more and more and religion had less and less of a hold on me. You can get better too, if you want to.

@rednecktrucker1969 Making fun of someone's appearance is pretty minor compared to making fun of someone's faith. If you think "Science flies us to the moon, religion flies us in to buildings" is a valid point, you have nothing to teach me.
I see people like you all the time. They grow up as ignoramus Christians and then become ignoramus atheists, and think they've make some sort of breakthrough. The problem is that Christians aren't being properly instructed in their faith in the first place.

@stallion4life This is always the problem with folks like you...."oh, YOU were NEVER a real christian" It is like some sort of get out of jail free card. That way you can still think that having faith and denying reality is a valid option. That because you got the, "extra special crazy sause" on your food, it absolves you from dealing with your own petty fears and ego. All you end up doing is sounding crazier and more unstable, pity really, waste of an otherwise good life, you only get 1 ya know
