One Piece Treasure Battle - Story Mode [Luffy/Vivi] Part 3

Another upload for you, as I'm still striving to find a balance in my life, and work, some more Treasure Battle, just because it's awesome.


This here is the first part of a series I'll be showing of Treasure Battle's story mode.
Luffy and Vivi are 'Easy mode'
Zoro and Ace are 'Normal mode'
Sanji and Nami are 'Hard mode'
and Usopp and Chopper are 'Very Hard mode'

I've played this game like crazy, so I'm fairly well versed as to what's going on. In Story mode, you'll see there's a series of 5 matches (something you'll see in a section called Match-up, which is just about the same thing but you get to choose the stages and characters).

You'll fight 3 Treasure Battles in a row, then have a special mini game for the 4th, and then a best-of-3 round Treasure Battle for the conclusion.

To give you a bit of an idea about the story (very paper thin I might add), there's a special competition called the "Treasure Battle" clash which is being hosted in the Grand Line on this special series of islands. The Blue Berry Time newspaper is covering the events via Rocky Heart (who is the stupid blonde guy with the guitar) -

Trusting in eachother, they must split up into teams of 2, and battle through various events to get Treasure Cards, which for reasons I'm not really sure of, give the possessor happiness and can make wishes/dreams come true.


Now for a brief run down of what they say pre-battle, since it's kinda funny, and I love the voice-actors :P

Vivi/Luffy vs Crocodile/Robin

Crocodile feels bored and angry he has to deal with something so ridiculous. He's a shichibukai and doesn't have to go down to children's levels. Robin interjects by saying that if he gets treasure cards, he'd be able to get anything he wants.

Croc calls her a noisy woman! Then says he finish this in 3 minutes.

Suna-wani! Even vivi's surprised to see why Crocodile's here.

Croc then says he's happy to see Miss Wednesday and Mugiwara, he'll be happy to beat them to get Treasure Cards.

Robin then begins to tease Rocky (the blonde guy), asking him what he thinks will happen if he interviews the winner about what they want. Do we really have to tell you?

She looks forward to having these dream cards, and to deal with the man who wins them, setting Rocky on edge because of her riddles and mystery.

I think it's also rather funny to see that Robin gets Sling Slashed and Bazooka'd several times in this match :P

@EmeraldDSilver Indeed! I thought it was not only an awesome touch, but I'm very pleased you noticed. Every time she says it I smile, and remember how well made this game is. The gameplay is furious and the camera can be a bit dodgy at times, but I know for a fact that they nailed the voice acting, and the little things like this - Like croc adjusting his hook when he wins a match etc...
