Angry Eyes by Loggins and Messina, from the rock classic released in 1972 on the album Loggins and Messina. Jim Messina shows you how to play the electric finger style rhythm parts that make up the body of the song, hybrid picking rhythm and slow blues-inspired lead licks that add depth and color to this classic. This intermediate-level, medium-tempo song can be played with an electric or acoustic guitar in "dropped D" tuning. This is a sample of a 16 minute songs available for purchase at iVideosongs.com.

  • Jimmy is KING

  • Those craftsmen of the '60s & '70s are TRUE songsmiths!!! Like Clapton, In his 60s STILL as good as ever!!!

  • We need more of this caliber of creativity in the music business. Just need to get the fastbuck freddies out first, if possible.

  • I saw Logins and Messina last last Sunday in Houston. Eight piece band and they were awesome. Better today than they were 30...well almost 40 years ago. I'm still livin' the experience.

  • oddly enough the 1st time I ever heard this song it was the Pointer Sister's version. Pretty powerful in it's own right.

  • Shows how these greats from the 70's were true craftsmen of music. God bless 'em

  • Saw Jimmy perform live, with Kenny Loggins, a few years ago. Messina's guitar playing style is just great, and he is extremely talented. Has he come out with a new CD, lately?

  • I just went looking for it too, still not there. I have attempted a version of it on my channel but there's definitely a few chords out of whack on mine. It's probably in the related videos sidebar there -

  • I've been playing it a different key for years but I would like to see Jim show how to play it in this one

  • I wish they would wake up & not say 'its available for download' when its clearly NOT ready. Making me wonder if this is how they plan on doing business? It stinks. Too bad, I'd love to see any lessosn from Jim M. - been a fan for years.
