@SciFiBMovieGuy Yep to Zep - Hots On For Nowhere or Walter's Walk...the way the guitar & drums are tight together. Very cool.
-
criminally overlooked band...fuckin corporate critics bashed them like so many other great bands.
-
thom mooney from Nazz played drums on this album not Hunt Sales

@FOGumpp57 Hunt Sales is alive and living in Austin last I heard and that was last year.

@DetroitDude777 and the third member is from blue oyster cult. what i think is very funny, is the four songs you like the most, are not my favorites at all, and yet we both think the album is great, what a world huh. i just love the sound, the echo in new orleans, blue robbin and 2061. i have to hear the rest, i don't remember them, it's been too long.

Great band with a great lineup. BTW, Hunt Sales still alive and well. After this band he hooked up with Iggy and then David Bowie. Understand he is living in Austin.

On "Big Towne 2061" the drummer was Soupy Sales son Hunt Sales:he commited suicide some time after the album came out.

Sorry but Glenn Cornick as te bassman of Jethro.
I've always loved this band, and used to have Big Towne 2061 on vinyl. Until today, I've never heard anything from the debut album. This outstanding cut has kind of a Led Zep feel to it. Anybody else notice?
Thanks for this upload.

Always liked the first album a little more than "Big Towne", rocked harder. "Black Book" is a classic. Every time I played this album in my dorm room in college someone yelled "turn it up!"
