UPDATE: Oct. 15, 2011 - New Sheet Music

So I just switched from Finale Notepad to MuseScore, which has a much larger feature set than Notepad and is a lot easier to use. Now that I finally have the features that I need to make accurate, nice looking guitar arrangements, I'm going back and re-arranging all of classical guitar quartet stuff so that I can post the sheet music on my YouTube videos. I just finished re-arranging Summer Medley right now, so here's a link to the sheets:

(Score and parts)

=============================================

These are two of my favorite compositions from two of my favorite movies. Both compositions happened to have the word "summer" in the title, so I decided to see what it would sound like if I combined them into one arrangement. I originally started working on this arrangement in January, but I had to put it aside once school started. I was finally able to finish it up last month, and I coincidentally got it recorded just in time for summer.

The first piece (0:00 - 2:55) is simply entitled "Summer" and was composed for the film Kikujiro.

The second piece (2:55 - 5:07) is called "One Summer's Day" and was composed for the film Spirited Away.

Here's an MP3 for whoever wants it:

  • could you tell me what video software you use to get the video layout like that and also what sound/audio software stuff because its really clear sound and amazing video!!:) thanks x

  • @livvylovvy5 Thanks, glad you like it! I use Adobe Premiere Elements for all of the video editing, and I just use Audacity for the audio. The microphone I'm using is a Rode NT-4 plugged into a MobilePre USB preamp.

  • Is there an MP3 version from this song available somewhere? I'd really love to have it on my iPod...

  • @MsRiccii Hi! I just now updated the description with a link to an MP3.

    Cheers,

    Gabe

  • id really like to do this as a quartet for school. and i would love to write "arranged by PoopPoopFart" XD

  • @BelieveIntheBucket Let me know if you want the sheets! This is one of the arrangements that I actually committed to paper before recording, so I'd be happy to send it to you if you send me a private message with your email address. I'll even edit the top of the page to say "arr. PoopPoopFart" for you. lol.

  • @daannielism You don't think the first 4 notes here sound like the first 4 notes of the bass line to Pachelbel's Canon?
