Sonic the Hedgehog 3 BETA HOAX

This is Sonic 3's BETA (hoax)!Also i am not really sure if this is Sonic 3's beta or something ,so if you think that this is a fake or something, well,you might be right!But i think that this is not a beta of sonic 3,so it might be a hack!It doesn't matter anyway!Changes from Sonic 3 to this beta/hack are:
1.Title screen and save data screen are the same ,though you can't scroll to Competition mode,and you can play ONLY as Sonic & Tails COMBINED not ALONE,plus you can't play previosly saved games(only the first one with carnival night, i haven't played! It was in the beta/hack,and i can't play it as well)so you have to start a new one!
2.Intro is COMPLETELY diffrent!
3.Counters are not in the game!
4.there are NO rings(visible)only ring boxes!
5.You can't use the shield's Special effect!
6.You start with Debug Mode!
7.Sonic's way to the mini boss can't be played!
8.When you enter the Special Stage ring The game restarts!
9.There isn't a mini boss!
10.The main boss can only be played when you use debug mode and go up!
11. Only the first level can be played,when you finish it, the game restarts!
12.Music is diffrent(From Knuckles Chaotix)!
13.There isn't a music in the save data menu!
14.There isn't a music for the main boss!
15.Debug elements are diffrent!

2.Why is Carnival Night zone in the data select when the beta just contains Angel Island zone?
I my self also don't know,it was in the beta when i played it!
3.Why is the music from Knuckles Chaotix here,when the Knuckles Chaotix game was made later?
The game YES,but the TRACK?The Track might have been made before the game,and originally placed in Sonic 3!
4.Why was only angel island made and not even the other zones?
I don't know!As for the other zones I think that Carnival Night might be acsessable throught Debug mode,but i can't make them work so i don't know!
5.Can i download this somewhare?
The link where i downloaded the rom is broken now,and unfortunetly i don't know another!
6.Is this a hack or the real beta?
I believe that it is the beta it's self because intro is diffrent and as far as i know an intro CAN'T be changed,unless with many efforts,and it will be glitchy,and this isn't glitchy at all!
7.Why are there 2 saves with only Sonic alone and not with Sonic & Tails?
Because when i complete Angel Island zone with Sonic & Tails i get it that i played as Sonic Alone,maybe it's just a glitch
8.If it is a beta why is Super Sonic in there?
To tell the truth,i don't know!Maybe it's just a glitch.
9.Why isn't there any HUD?
I don't know at all, maybe there is HUD but it is not present,because of another glitch perhaps(there are MANY glitches in here)!

Thease are FAQ,because they were asked many times to now,and i am fed up with answering,and FROM NOW ON whoever asks similar questions i will simply remove them ,and not answer,because they are allready answered in the description!

Can you access level select/debug menu?

Super Sonic was introduced in S2, so it would make sense that, since they're going to change him, They would probably test this first...

In beta/alpha stages, they make the largest changes first, usually, so that they can perfect them by the time the games come out. Sprites and sound are usually first (because they are what you see/hear, and they are the most interactive peices (if it's ugly or sounds bad, most won't play it).

Sorry,but i can't tell you,since i don't have the ROM anymore,and when i had it back there i hadn't tried to do the level select cheat,at least i don't remember even if i had,as for the debug mode,i've said that it was activated in the bare begining...it wasn't nesessary to input anything like in the final version.

if it had debug, you could've held A&Start to get to level select... if that's the case, you could've seen the rest of the levels (which would explain the note of the CN save file)

Further, I'd like to point out that S1Beta and S2Beta (Simon Wei) and S2Alpha (Nick Arcade) both have level select available, as well as a first level set that repeats once you get to the end...

I'd be interested in more research into this...

Actually,in order to initiate level select in Sonic 3 alone without Sonic & Knuckles ,when Sonic appears you have to push up and down (i don't remember how many times) very quickly in order to initiate level select,i've tried at least 20 times and i can't do the code,so even if i had this build,i just can't do the code,by the way,if you hold A & Start,IN GAME,YOU WOULD GO BACK TO THE MENU,BUT there is NO level select,i think that you are mistaking this with Sonic 2.

Since,when you type the code in Sonic 2 ,you have to hold A & Start, on the title screen to start with level select,Sonic 3 DOES NOT use this system.

It's definitely doctored. If the game was THAT much of a mess, it never would have been put into a physical copy (which is how these things get out in the first place)

I think sega should have let you choose if you ha the chaos emeralds in sonic 2 or not and if you pick yes you have the normal intro and if you pick no youhave the surf board intro

This hack implies that the game was scratchbuilt, but it was built off of sonic 2.

what the crap instead of Tails flying super sonic to have knuckles punch the gems out of him he surfs to the island? this intro is way cooler the other one should be for "Sonic 3 & Knuckles" only and they should have kept this one for Sonic 3

The Knuckles Chaotix song is the only good music from the game so it's possible it was made before using the Sonic 3 music team. Makes sense.

Interesting info you have, this does look like a beta of Sonic 3 because a lot of stuff is unfinished and Knuckles is not present.
