Vivisection According To Dr Robert Mendelsohn

Dr Robert Mendelsohn received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Chicago in 1951. For 12 years he was an instructor at Northwest University Medical College, and an additional 12 years served as Associtae Professor of Pediatrics and Community Health and Preventive Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.

He was also President of the National Health Federation, former National Director of Project Head Starts Medical Consultation Service, and Chairman of the Medical Licensing Comittee of the State of Illinois.

He appeared on over 500 television and radio talk shows, and is the author of:

* Confessions of a Medical Heretic

* Male Practice: How Doctors Manipulate Women

* How To Raise a Healthy Child In Spite of Your Doctor.

He also write the prefix to "Slaughter of the innocent" an anti vivisection book that formed a new AV movement ~ the scientific anti vivisectionist movement

I'm opposed to quackery as well. That's why I'm opposed to this quack. He has no idea what he's talking about! Medicine would still be in the dark ages without animal research. With that said, many experiments on animals do not extrapolate to humans, and are unethical, but the human body is composed of the same tissues, enzymes, and elements as many of our animal counterparts, making a big chunk of animal studies very useful. Take a moment to be grateful to animals for how well you live today.

I think you're being a bit naive. Most 'good-intentional' doctors and nurses their main problem is stupidity. They work in an evil system that intends to keep people sick and if they are not, to make them sick. You can't really do good by cooperating with such a system.

Of course not. They do not have to predict with 100% certainty in order to be useful. If one chemical killed every animal it was exposed to, and another didn't kill any of the animals it was exposed to, and you had to pick one to take, wouldn't you pick the one that didn't kill any animals? Change chemical to potentially lifesaving drug. Info does not have to be 100% to be useful.

I used to just see vivisection/animal research as heartless/cruel. But now I know its a lot worse than cruelty to animals, it is anti science, anti human research and holds back the understanding of the human organism and the fact nothing good has ever come of it.
