Knife training is not only good for kids, but also for adults. You would be suprised at the stupid things I have seen done with the average home kitchen knife. I am a man who likes knives, sharpening and the things that go with them. With my last wife, I learned not to be too quick to get those knives sharp like I like them, that was after the tenth or so time she had an accident.
Mr. Bill make us all a vid showing everyone the how's and why's of knife safety. You are the man to do it!

yep back in the 1950's most every kid had a small folding blade.
the key is education as I did with my knife safety talks to kids.

@donze52 I have had a lot of practice, but you can never have enough practice. I have practiced since i was 10, so about 8 years, but there is always stuff to learn.

yep I sharpen, but got an electric wheel and polisher to turn put on an edge.
just use common sence of what you do, and how you use it, and who knows you got it.

pray you never need it for war, but if that is the mindset, it take a lot of practice,
I worked with my girls most of 4 years to get them up to holding their own if push came blood
