Old Jefferson Davis Hospital at 1101 Elder St. was oped in 1924. That building has been remodeled into artists lofts. New Jefferson Davis Hospital on Allen Parkway was opened in 1937. It was demolished around 1999.

@treybaby420 I don't know where the hell you got your facts guy, but they didn't tear down the the hospital. I live in Houston and drive by this building every week. It's now an artist loft called The Artists Lofts on Elgin. No kids committed suicide in there, however 3 teenagers were robbed at gun point. Get your facts straight before you start spreading stupid rumors.

They tore this place down a few years back, after a few bodies were found in it. I know this for a fact that three kids were planning on commiting suicide in there by hanging themselves. When the time came. 2 of them dropped and the 3rd flaked out and ran. After a week or so later, the third boy finally flipped out at school and told someone about it. When they they found the bodies they had been cut down and stripped completly naked. They also found a girl in there with her tits cut off. 4real.
