A video of me playing a bit of Metroid prime through the dolphin emulator in 2048x1152 (higher than HD :) ). I've enabled the widescreen hack, which is why on the sides it gets wierd with drawing and stuff but i dont see it a big deal. At least it looks nicer than a 4:3 ratio lol.

The game runs very well. Sometimes it slows down. I'm running this on a Core i7 920 overclocked (from 2.66GHz) to 3.8GHz.

  • Can you tell me were you got your ROM from? Did you take it off the disc or?

  • @FloppyCat1990 If you have a modded Wii, you can download a program for it that can rip your game discs to a file on a flash drive, which you can use to emulate on the PC.

  • Nintendo should make gamecube HD remakes on the wii u, kinda like how sony and microsoft making HD remakes of ps2 and xbox games games on ps3 and 360

  • @brickman409 I would be surprised if they didn't. They're already doing stuff like OoT3D and those 3D classics on the 3DS. Heck, they even made gamecube rereleases on the Wii (with wiimote controls), one of those include the Metroid Prime Trilogy.

  • 3:32 scared the shit out of me.

  • @FarbrorKudde sorry :( blame the video encoder.

  • @varpppisss actually, there's no point. the gamecube/wii has such outdated graphics that it doesn't really matter what kind of graphics card you have. It's mostly about the software and the way it's programmed, and also the CPU speed.

Also, I now have a crossfire 5870, so no.

  • Im quite content with the 480p this game can produce.

  • for some reason it speeds up if i use a higher resolution by 5fps

  • 3:31 SHIT THAT SCARED ME!

  • It has a pretty sharp quality I give you that. But Metroid Prime and Metroid 2 Echoes for the Gamecube dont really need 1080p to look good, you could have a pretty decent lcd TV and the digital HDTV video component signal (rgb cable) and it would suck ass as well
