The S-300 is a series of Russian long range surface-to-air missile systems by the Almaz Scientific Industrial Corporation all based on the initial S-300P version. It was developed as a system against aircraft and cruise missiles for the Soviet Anti-Air Defence branch of the military, but later variations were also developed to intercept ballistic missiles.

  • @StiviGun1 "What projects does the US have for tanks and APCs, tell me?"

About 10,000-20,000 MRAPs. The M1A3. Amphibious Combat Vehicle. Marine Personnel Carrier. Ground Combat Vehicle:

    en . wikipedia . org/wiki/File:GCV_Infantry_Fighting_Vehicle . jpg

The list goes on. And the US has many unmanned vehicles too. The Marines are testing at least 2 unmanned transport vehicles. Which would be very useful in obviously Iraq and A-stan, but also in urban combat.

  • @StiviGun1 But either way, in a time span of 20 years and by judging on what was done in the past 2 years, China cannot replace 60-80% of it's military while also making it much larger. It's impossible.

  • @StiviGun1 "By acquiring a very small number of F-22s and with the F-35"

The F-35 currently has problems that are very fixable and they will be fixed. That is very obvious.

So again, China will only be receiving the J-20 when the F-35 is already in large numbers.

And even then, the J-20 has massive problems, including the very poor performing engines that are much larger problems than what the F-35 has.

  • @StiviGun1 "Dozens of bases? Dozens? China has over 1800 ballistic missiles and the number is growing and more advanced models are being produced and handed over to the armed forces."

Even though the US has thousands of interceptor missiles, thousands of cruise missiles to strike the launchers, and can easily move to different areas for bases, such as highways.

  • @StiviGun1 "Kennedy didn't stand up in any way to the soviets in Cuba."

Except for blockading all of Cuba, threatening to sink Soviet ships, causing them to turn away?

  • @StiviGun1 "By 2020, their military capabilities will allow them to do much more."

Even though their navy will still be remarkably weaker?

  • @StiviGun1 "If US satellites could track and photograph the Chinese carrier while it was undertaking sea trials"

That is why I said the massive Pacific Ocean though. The Varyag was right outside of it's port. Not in the open ocean.

Either way, we will see how capable the DF-21D is. And we will see if it carries MIRV's. We will also see if the RIM-161 can take out MIRV's. And if it can't, we will see if the US upgrades the missile too.

  • @StiviGun1 As for the H-8, thanks for the link. However, the article is kind of BS because it says little is known about the bomber and yet it is better than the B-2.

Either way, China will still be very behind for at least the next 10 years in terms of bomber technology. That is what I do know.

  • @StiviGun1 And why would the F/A-XX be built in smaller numbers than I think, when it will replace 556 Super Hornets.

"In the next 20 years, you'll have to face a large number of stealthy fighters"

200 PAK-FA's? And an unknown number of stealth fighters?

While the US will have 187 upgraded F-22's (already very comparable), and 2,400 F-35's, and at least 556 F/A-XX's?

  • @StiviGun1 "The FA-XX is not certain to enter service and the J-20 will definitely be built in much larger numbers"

It will most likely enter service. The USN needs a plane to replace the Super Hornet and they are already in very early stages for it's development.

As for the J-20 in large numbers, it depends. It depends what munitions it can take, how flexible it is, and how capable it is.
