Just heard an excellent version of this live, by the Amelia Piano Trio in Columbia, MD (USA). Rachmaninov wrote this when he was 19. Unbelievable. Listen to live music when you can, it's so much better.

The best version of both Rachmaninoff's trios is the interpretation of the Shostakovitch trio : Bezverkhny Katz and Gruzman.Absolutely fantastic versions.

Does anybody appreciate the way that the person who uploaded this music split it at such a good place? I almost thought the piece was over for a second. Much better than just chopping it off at an even 10 minutes! Thank you. :~)
