Peshawar bombing toll rises to 127

This incident of suicide bombing is being regarded as the most appalling in the history of terrorist bombings in Pakistani cities. Over a 100 people lost their lives, many became disabled, and property worth millions was lost. Despite the repeated incidence of such mayhem, people always find loose security arrangements in the city and that is what is seems to have happened in this case too. Newspaper source report that the explosives-laden car had been parked in the market 3 hours before the blast. The vehicles entering and leaving the market were not being checked and a shopkeeper has expressly regarded lack of security arrangements as mainly responsible for the tragedy. But the public is equally careless of terrorist violence and no measures of personal safety are observed among people who keep coming in throngs to busy markets and put their lives at risk. Perhaps its time for the general public and the business-dealers in busy places to sit together and chalk out their own security plans in order to save their lives and property.

Morocco to send humanitarian aid to Yemen

Upon instructions issued by H.M. King Mohammed VI, Morocco decided to send emergency humanitarian aid to Yemen, to help citizens who have been displaced as a result of war in the north of the country. Yemeni authorities welcomed with great satisfaction the Moroccan gesture of sending humanitarian aid that was made up mainly of medicines, foodstuff, tents and medical equipment. They also voiced appreciation for the Kingdom's position supporting Yemen governments effort to ensure national unity, stability and security.

H1N1 cases rise drastically in Jordan

Discovered cases of infection with H1N1 virus in Jordan are increasing drastically in number; approximating a number of around 100 cases a day. Strategies of dealing with the issue have changed a little bit, as infected people with slight degrees of the disease are now treated at home, while only the severe cases of infection are treated in isolation in a couple of Jordanian hospitals which are handling such cases. Jordanian citizens are getting more and more worried though, especially after the two deaths caused by the flu, although reports came out to confirm that those two cases were suffering from other health conditions, which made fighting the virus a hard thing to do.
