@sgovea100 In his defence, He should have been able to handle it no problem, this is the guy who can fly while holding the empire state building in one hand with out it tipping or breaking apart fom the force applied to a small area by his hand. I guess the "magic" Superman field he usually generates was just to hokey for a movie about a flying extraterrestial who can lift millions of tons and shoot lasers from his eyes.

Superman: Ugh! Crap! Why?! Just why did they have to put a rocket ship on the top of the plane?! Don't they ever think about the one guy that can fly so fast around the world that he even reversed time itself?! NOoooO, they have to be so cocky and sure of themselves that Suuupperman is here to rescue them from 200,000 ft. in the air.
