The people who bitch the most about what is or isn't dubstep are those people who really have nothing of value in their life so they attach a lot of value to something intangible, like titles, that realistically who gives a shit about. If it jives with your ear then who cares what it's called. This is a solid tune, I like the beat, the sounds, the mixing, it's chill and for all I care it could be called "poop stain" genre, the point is it makes your feet move. I dig it butterflycrash. Haha guys, still discussing the genre? The reason why I call it Dubstep: 140 BPM + downtempo + sub. However I wont start defining every single detail and I wont start producing mainstream Dubstep - the same sounds and arrangements again and again, just sad and annoying. Uncreative artists copying each other will kill this genre sooner or later, theres no more progress. So if you love Dubstep do yourself a favor and reconsider the unwritten genre limitations.
