  • looks awesome, but is there a way to replace the original button ?

  • You could try Start Killer. It doesn't do a perfect job on Windows 7, but it's worth trying at least.

  • that is full or demo? 5/5

  • That's the full version. There is no demo, CSMenu is freeware.

Everything I've always wanted to say! I never understood why classic theme wasn't the XP classic theme. The classic theme in Vista/7 = fail. The fact that they never allowed you to do revert back to a simpler look, and still keep the theme, is even gayer. Their excuse for this was "it would have used to much code..."

Pfft. If it wasn't for DX10/11, I wouldn't have even considered Windows 7.

  • The new start menu in Win 7 is completely dumbass and results of bloating, design flaws, hacks, lack of understanding intuition and excellence. Examples are excessive use of air, childish bloaty icons, lack of editing the start menu itself, the illusion of setting everything up automatically for the user =wrong. But even this CSmenu managed to fail. Shareware, odd looking design (dont folllows the theme set, like Classic 2003/XP look) and lack of configuration. Sorry, try again

  • i think the classic theme in windows 7 is cool i like the classic windows 95, 98 type theme i think it looks cool

  • @sweetdeborra hey if you hate it type into google classic shell and download that its the best one yet

  • ack, i wish one could replace the whole theme system like linux and get a more or less direct look of xp :x and remove tons of services that needlessly runs on worsta(vista) and winDOS 7

  • No, it actually has a load of very nice under-the-hood features. But the god-awful new style UI ruins everything. It's the reason our company is moving to Linux at last. Not because of some technical merit, but because Linux will not force any retarded UI design upon the world. Our few users whose machines were migrated are often feeling confused by some "clever" new feature, and our IT guys get nervous breakdowns while trying to help them. Good work, Microsoft. Good shot in your own feet.

  • @rbonilla18 I agree

  • @simon1234simon i have always used the classic mode <-- i love it. I'm a net admin and when i use win server 2k8 classic mode it drive me crazy.

  • you said it man. almost the same thing as windows vista (suppost to be 3% faster or something) and is missing classic control panel and classic start menu.

that's fucking it. after windows 95, microsoft went down and is constatley falling.

  • you're right.
