  • This is fantastic. I'm going to Tokyo for 2 weeks in August (yes, I know, everyone and everything says that's the worst time, only time I could go on vacation unfortunately). We were highly debating whether or not to make the trip out (3 hrs each way?) to Kyoto... so, yes there are plenty of beautiful temples and gardens there, but is there a few particularly worth visiting and doable in one day? Or should we just save it for another visit to Japan?

  • Oh there's a lot you can do in Kyoto/Nara/Osaka/Kobe in one day. If you take the first Shinkansen down in the morning, then you can get there by 9:30am and then take the last train back. That's what I would suggest. If you can get a JR Rail Pass, then all the better.

If you really want to plan something, let me know, and I can get you the info on the tour that I took my friends on.

  • Great video, I love Kyoto been twice will definatly be going more after the move to Nagoya,, how long have you been living there??

  • Unfortunately, I don't live in Kyoto anymore.

  • Very nice montage. Inspiring.

  • Thanks for watching. I was afraid that people wouldn't care much for this kind of thing.

Hopefully you'll be isnpired enough to go out and experience the temples for yourself.

  • ChemistInJapan are you on facebook?

  • By the way Alcvin Takegawa Ramos is also a Filipino-Japanese, who in my humble opinion has truly mastered the art of Japanese Traditional music in our time.

  • The music goes deep in the soul, having japanese ancestry i love to listen to japanese traditional music, domo arigato gozaimasu this video.

  • Kyoto temples were easy because I lived there and there are so many of them.

I used to spend hours and hours at temples just taking pictures. I tried to pick good ones.
