  • Memphis has just gone to the crapper! Mud Island, Libertyland, Fairgrounds, Mall of MEmphis, and you name it. Memphis was a wonderful city and beautiful place back in the 80's. Now, it's just a big pile of crap!

  • Libertyland did not close because they swithced some rides. They closed due to lack of revenue which was because it was in an unsafe part of town that has been taken over by criminals and that's the reason the Mall of Memphis and Hickory Ridge Mall closed. How long do you think I will take for the Mephis thugs to close Wolf Chase Mall?

  • i remember going & riding the rides. they never should of tour the place down, memphis has went to hell.. the pippin & revolution was the best!!!!

  • Another part of my good times died! Thanks for the video!

  • So sad, I grew up going there...

  • @juliet97 sad thing is cities in Shelby County loose out on certain things over Memphis. like not getting certain amusements malls or biz's approved for that city due to the fears of crime coming in hence loosing out on Revenue for the city that the biz wants to locate in. a reason why the Carriage Crossing sux. and other things don't get approved. I bet things were slated for discussion we just don't know being very minimal interest not making it newsworthy

  • @markryan1963 southland mall still seem to portray that image through their web site to get dumb Elvis Loving tourist Arkies/north miss residents who are clueless or don't care or tourists in general to come to their stores I'm shocked I'm wondering how much shrinkage they experience next to the Wal*mart on Elvis Presley I heard that wally world had the worst shrinkage in the country out of all the Wal*Marts. due to shoplifters maybe crooked employees too idk.

  • @markryan1963 it made me scratch my head when I was 16 seeing 3 malls go to shit that have been around for a long time and I'm thinking I've seen other malls in that same radius from the same time period to the early 90's that haven't gone to shit and are not hoody. and I was saying to myself I thought malls are something that always stay successful and never close. hopefully Wolfchase won't be the 4th. someone predicited 04 05 or so it would have gone to shit by 2010. well we'll see after 11

  • @odog65 Really?

  • @Coasternator lol some people call it 6 flags over Orange Mound

  • @vintagefame my ass. kinda like the Bushe Garderns I heard that's supposted to be built on Stewart Rd no wait that's not Memphis. no Memphis thug would venture there and make it unsafe hence bringing $ in from the rich parts of the Memphis area. I'm gonna see if it's for real

  • Makes me sad - my family lived in Memphis when I was ages 5-10 and me and my sisters loved Libertyland. So many great memories, so tragic to see it gone. Now that this and the ice skating rink in the Mall of Memphis are both gone, there's not much of my childhood stomping grounds left out there.

Also, I remember it's the only theme park that let us stay on rides instead of getting back in line again - my big sis went on Revolution at least 8 times in a row once.
