@Freakash1 They're pretty different choices, but FIFA 12 has far more longevity if you're not buying it for a major console already, otherwise Shadowgun.

@Punkyemoking That's a horrifically short-sighted comparison. Aside from cover-based shooter gameplay (which is nothing spectacularly new) - the comparison ends at the main guy being in a power suit and the bad guys having a tanning problem. There's none of the squad-based combat or fun weaponry that makes Gears of War so appealing.

@bigsteamfan Yes but those "idiotic little mini games" also make up what's available in the App Store. Andrew covers just about everything and I'm glad he does instead of sticking to just one genre. B/c of AppSpy, I've discovered TONS of games in ALL genres that I would've never known about or tried otherwise.

@rykowolf Look up modern combat. Yeah, its a COD clone but it has a massive base and has 7 game modes and the graphics are better than psp and better than ps2

Which shooters are the main "shrines of multiplayer fun" on iOS? I am new to iPhone and want to get one game that has a thriving and popular multiplayer base.

@Punkyemoking Hey now! I called it "basically a simplified version of Gears" and I note that it's only because of the cover mechanics. I used way too many adjectives for you to claim that I just "called it Gears of War for the iPhone." Also, it was clearly their intent to make a game that would look similar to Gears. By the way, nice review, other Andrew. I like to come watch a handful of reviews every now and again. Keep up the good work, even though you're my "competition" or some nonsense. :P

this video for me frezes for a fraction of a second but the audio keeps going does anyone know how to fix this problem
