A look at some of the questions posed at a town hall meeting held by U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden in Medford, Thursday, August 27, 2009. The meeting focused on health care reform. (Video by Jim Craven)
Sadly, the consumption of mass doses of propaganda can actually lead to retardation and death of brain cells. I'm not even sure the people who oppose reform know what they are opposing. Nothing in the reform will change or alter delivery of services, insurance option, your doctor of choice; nor does the argument about paying for someone else make any sense at all. The real dilemma in cost is the uninsured who we all pay for in higher rates and costs. The public option is critical to fixing that.
So agree. Those who oppose reform just yell louder and try to silence the voice of reason and logic. I missed this particular debate because I have PTSD and I cannot handle the yelling and screaming. I'm ready for the debates now. Real debates.
um, the video shows the opposite..they had ONE guy say he wanted universal health care..the rest said NO...but from what I read and heard about ( i was unable to go ) there were quite a lot of people FOR a public option there. This video makes it seem like 99% of the people there were against this health care plan...perfect example of the media covering only the interesting, controversial people like the guy with the hitler picture...come on.
I was at this meeting & from this video it makes it seems like the majority of those at the meeting are pro universal health care reform, when in reality a majority were against. 2 very impacting questions from those who were opposing universal health care reform were left out of this video, one from a woman from central point, or & another which was a letter from a veteran who was commemorated & awarded a medal right before the town hall meeting began.
