@MrTubbymarshall Tailgunner & ball turrent dead or incapacitated from accurate German fire. This guy was making sure no one was going to shoot back for you can see he was working those areas over at first. This is a Me 110 doing the shooting, and even it is having a hard time knocking the B-17 down.

Thanks for posting this video. And setting it to Bachs Air in G, simply wonderful. Its so sad even now to see our boys (I say boys reverently) going through arguably some of the worst missions of WW2.

@Joshuajlawn - It is a sad sight, is it not? - and even 65+ years later one can imagine the terror and agony of those youngsters. I have the greatest respect for anyone who saw combat in any war and as a pilot myself, the idea of fighting in the very unnatural element of the air fills me with horror.
